DESCRIPTION
Aluminum Potassium Sulfate occurs as large, transparent crystals or crystalline fragments, or as a white crystalline powder. One g dissolves in 7.5 mL of water at 25° and in about 0.3 mL of boiling water. Its solutions are acid to litmus. It is insoluble in alcohol, but is freely soluble in glycerin.
Function: Buffer; neutralizing agent; firming agent
